The latest Elon Musk tweet reads: "I will give them [Wikpedia] a billion dollars if they change their name to Dickipedia."
"Please add that to the [poop and cow emojis] on my wiki page", he further added, explaining that it was needed "in the intrests of accuracy".
Musk's offer follows his critique of Wikimedia Foundation's fundraising, questioning its necessity to operate Wikipedia, given that the entire text can fit on a phone.
When journalist Ed Karassenstein encouraged Wikipedia to "Do it!" and added, "You can always change it back after you collect," Musk imposed his condition.
"One year minimum. I mean, I'm not a fool lol," the Tesla CEO replied.
Wikipedia's community notes explained that operational costs are required for "over 25B page views per month and over 44M page edits a month."
Musk himself has been criticized for renaming Twitter as X and charging people a dollar for their tweets.
Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales had earlier criticized Musk for restricting content related to Turkey's presidential election.
