Former Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, who became a minority owner of Powder Mountain in April, took over as the majority owner on Sept. 6.
Spread over 8,464 acres and located in Utah, Powder Mountain is the largest in terms of skiable acres in North America.
Among its many features are 54 trails, nine lifts, two terrain parks, and cat skiing options, receiving almost 500 inches of snow in a good year.
It is located just an hour north's drive from Salt Lake City International Airport.
Hastings plans to improve infrastructure and amenities while "maintaining the uncrowded feel Powder Mountain is known for,” he said in a Forbes interview.
The resort's new activity hub, Launch Pad Yurt opens in December and will host various winter activities including cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
Night skiing lift tickets will be available to everyone every night at just $19.
