In a record contract restructure, the Kansas City Chiefs will be paying quarterback Patrick Mahomes $210.6 million between 2023-26, according to his agency.
If that wasn't enough cause for celebration, this is the highest any player has been paid in NFL history for a four-season play.
According to an NFL Insiders report, the deal could even reach $218.1 million with escalators.
This is not the first time the 28-year-old has signed lucrative contracts.
In July 2020, he signed a $450 million 10-year contract extension which was considered the highest in sports history.
Since then Mahomes, considered the top player in the game, has received more than $273 million in guarantees.
Mahomes also has two of the league's Most Valuable Player titles under his belt, along with five Pro Bowls and two first-team All-Pro designations.
Reports say that both Mahomes and the Chiefs expect to revisit the contract after the 2026 season.
