United States Postal Service will host two job fairs this week in Eastern North Carolina

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is recruiting close to 700 new employees as part of its Delivering for America 10-year plan.

Positions to be filled include clerks and mail handlers, city and rural carriers, tractor trailer operators, mechanics, laborer custodians, and others.

The job fairs for part-time, full-time, and seasonal positions will be held at 48 Bay Area and Northern California on Oct. 19th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Applications are open to those over 18 or those with a high school diploma or GED who are 16 or older.

All applicants must also pass a drug screening and criminal background investigation. Some may need to pass an exam for certain positions.

Those applying for positions with a driving requirement also need to have a driver's license and a clean DMV two-year driving history.
