Wayne Newton's residency at the Flamingo in Las Vegas has been extended by 62 dates.
Catch 'Wayne: Up Close and Personal' in the Wayne Newton Theater until June 12, 2024, celebrating 65 years since his Vegas debut.
Wayne Newton's Vegas journey began at the Fremont Hotel in 1959, and he reflects on that milestone in a recent interview.
Newton said, "I went to Vegas two weeks before my junior year was finished in Phoenix."
"And I thought the Flamingo, for example, would just be, like, a big flamingo standing there and the elevators are going up the legs. I had no touch of reality of what Las Vegas was about."
At the time, he was only 15 years old and went on to perform for more than 40 million people in Las Vegas through the span of 50,000 shows.
While the singer won't have a performance on his exact anniversary, he is set to take the stage on May 18 and 20.
