There are many scoring models used to calculate credit scores. Of those, FICO® Score and VantageScore® are the most widely used. Both scoring companies use the same scale (300-850) to calculate your credit score. They also take into account the same five factors: payment history, credit utilization rate, credit mix, and new credit. But, they weigh each factor differently and vary the score range for each tier – like fair and excellent.
A 750 score falls under the “very good” range for FICO but is considered “good” by VantageScore.
Either way, you can get good deals and lower interest rates on loans, and better rewards and credit limits on credit cards with a 750 FICO Score or VantageScore.
