There is no way to pinpoint how many points your credit score will improve and how long it will take. This is because there are many factors that help decide your credit score. Additionally, each credit scoring model weighs your credit score’s contributing factors differently.
Another point to note is that your credit score is mainly dependent on the information in your credit report. This will depend on the timing and type of information that lenders report to credit bureaus, and which credit bureaus they report to (if at all).
Above all, your credit score reflects your monthly credit activity. So, if you’ve used more of your credit this month, your balance will be high and so will credit utilization. This will lead to a lower credit score in that month if you don’t pay off your credit card balance before it is reported to the credit bureaus.
In short, several factors, some of which are under our control and some which aren’t, go into deciding your credit score.
