A common misconception is that credit reports from the three credit bureaus provide credit scores too, but this is not generally true. You cannot access your credit scores through your credit report(s) with the three major credit bureaus. But there are other ways you can see your score:
Through your credit card company, bank, or loan provider: It may be mentioned in your monthly credit card or loan statements or online when you log into your account.
Purchase them directly: You can also buy the service from the credit bureaus (Equifax®, TransUnion®, and Experian®) directly.
Use an external service: Many sites let you see your credit score while you use their other primary services. There are also websites online that can provide these scores for free.
Talk to a non-profit counselor: Counselors trained by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development can provide you with your credit score for free and help you understand your credit report.
