Home Depot® credit card is a store credit card. This means you can only use it for purchases in Home Depot stores and on the Home Depot website. Getting a Home Depot credit card is best if you make a lot of purchases from the store.

As with most other store credit cards, Home Depot requires a credit score of 640 or higher as the minimum to qualify for approval. A 640 credit score falls in the fair credit range of the FICO® Score. These cards are usually great for people who are just starting off their credit journey and are looking to build credit through regular expenses.

A fair to good credit score does not necessarily guarantee a credit card.

Apart from your credit score, you will also be asked for your credit history including other kinds of debts you have, your employment status, and income.
