The following are some ways you can raise credit with a credit card:
Become an authorized user: If you are new to credit building, you can become an authorized user on someone else’s (a relative, spouse, partner) card who has a good credit history and build positive credit without applying for a card yourself.
Use a secured credit card: A secured credit card usually requires you to pay a security deposit which then acts as your credit limit. Use it like a regular credit card and pay the balances on time to build positive credit. This is a good option for those who are beginning their credit journey but have some savings to spare.
Pay your credit card bills on time: Whichever type of credit card you use, paying your credit card bills on time every time is the best and most effective way to raise your credit score and also build a positive history of debt payments.
Keep credit utilization low: Credit utilization is the percentage of credit you use on the credit card out of the total credit that is available to you. The higher the credit usage, the more it hurts your credit score. Keeping your credit utilization as low as possible can help you raise your credit score significantly since it is one of the major factors to calculate your credit score.
