Called the Capital One® Walmart Rewards® Card, the Walmart credit card is a Mastercard® that can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted. Because it is a Mastercard, the criteria for approval is slightly stricter. You need a good FICO® Score of about 670 or above to qualify for the Capital One Walmart Rewards Card.

However, if they find that you are not eligible for the rewards card, you will automatically be considered for the store card (Walmart Rewards Card). Store cards generally require a credit score of fair and above, which transaltes to a score starting at 580. But, the annual percentage rate (APR) for the store card is higher than the Mastercard.
