An 850 credit score is a perfect score. Only 1.6% of the American population today has an 850 credit score. It falls under the excellent FICO® and VantageScore® range.

With an 850 credit score, the odds of you getting a higher credit limit and approval for a new card are high. You may also be easily approved for a loan with the best terms. So you may save relatively more money than if you have a score in the good to very good FICO range.

There are fewer people with excellent credit scores in the 800-850 range. In terms of the benefit you get with an 800 FICO Score versus an 850, there isn’t much difference. Also, your credit score is not the only factor that decides if you are eligible for a loan. Other debts and your active credit accounts are also considered before approving you for a new line of credit.
