Credit scores can range from “poor” to “excellent”. An excellent credit score is the highest score range among them. Any score between 800-850 for FICO® and 781-850 for VantageScore® is considered an excellent credit score. Credit scores vary depending on the credit reporting agency and credit scoring models used, but this range is generally followed by the three major credit bureaus: Equifax®, TransUnion®, and Experian®.

Having an excellent credit score can help you negotiate lower interest rates and higher credit limits. In general, lenders understand that you have exhibited responsible credit behavior and will be more likely to grant you the loan you need. You can maintain this credit score by continuing responsible credit behavior like paying your bills on time and maintaining low credit balances.
